Major Activities
The major important milestone in the history of KSU and in Kerala politics was the historical 'Vimochana Samaram' by which ended the communist rule in 1958.
There has been a strong presence of KSU in Kerala since 1958. After
Vimochana Samaram a direct clash between KSU and communists occurred in 2008. It was related to the changes made in 7th standard Social Studies text book. The KSU launched a mass agitation of students against this text book. KSU launched this agitation because they are accusing the present Communist Government in Kerala of trying to make students Communists by altering text books.External links
