J. Craig Wright is a former Republican justice of the
Ohio Supreme Court who served in that office from 1985 to 1996.In 1991, Wright reportedly engaged in a tussle with fellow Republican, Justice
Andrew Douglas , Douglas's secretary Sue Pohlman whom Douglas was living with, and still is to this day. Douglas said that Wright pushed him to the floor.The "
Chicago Tribune " reported that the argument was over comments made by Wright regarding Douglas's secretary, Sue Pohlman. The Tribune also reported that the tussle took place in front of fellow JusticeAlice Robie Resnick and it ended only when Wright had to help Douglas up off of the floor.After leaving the Supreme Court, Wright re-entered the private practice of law with the firm Chester, Willcox & Saxbe. In January 2004, Gov.
Bob Taft appointed Wright to the state Chemical Dependency Professionals Board for a term expiring in December 2006. He is now serving on the Public Defender Commission Committee and presently serving as a judge on the Ohio Court of Claims.See also
