Helen Dunmore (born
December 12 ,1952 ) is a Britishpoet ,novelist and children's writer. [ [http://www.contemporarywriters.com/authors/?p=auth103 Helen Dunmore ] ] Educated at theUniversity of York , she now lives inBristol .She has won awards for her fiction (theSociety of Authors 'McKitterick Prize and theOrange Prize ) and also for her poetry (she has won the Cardiff International Poetry Prize, been shortlisted for theT. S. Eliot Prize and had her books named as Poetry Book Society Choice and Recommendations). Dunmore is a Fellow of theRoyal Society of Literature (FRSL).
