InTurn

InTurn

Inturn is a reality TV show launched by CBS in 2006, on their broadband channel innertube. The winner of which would go on to receive a 13-week acting contract on As The World Turns. The first season contained 8 contestants and the second contained 9 contestants, as Justin from Series 1 returned to compete again. The contestants audition as a historical or existing fictional character to impress executive producer Chris Goutman who decides who gets a callback and who will be eliminated after each audition. Once three contestants remain, all of them appear in one episode of the show each - highlighting their character, and then America votes for who will get the 13 week contract with ATWT.

The eventual winner of "Inturn" 2006 was Alex Charak , an 18 year old "Student/Pizza Transportation Artist" from New York. Charak made his debut as the character Elwood Hoffman on September 26, 2006. The winner of Series 2 was Ryan Serhant, however, soon after her elimination, fellow contestant Lauretta Vaughn was awarded a two-week contract as Kit in August 2007 and later that year came onto the show as a recurring character in December 2007.
