Liberal Democratic Party (Bangladesh)

The Liberal Democratic Party is a political party in Bangladesh.

The party was formed on October 26, 2006 by former President of Bangladesh Dr. A. Q. M. Badruddoza Chowdhury, Colonel Oli Ahmed, and 24 other former Members of Parliament and ministers from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. This was done by them as a revenge towards B.N.P(Bangladesh Nationalist Party). As both Mr. Oli and Mr. Badruddoza were left out of the party for their unethical works. Within 2 months of its formation, the party has been threatened with partition by some senior leaders who are against the decision of the party forming a coalition with Awami League.

The party is now a complete failure. As Mr. Oli and Mr. Badruddoza had an ego conflict. Most of the unfamiliar workers and supporters who joined the party to safeguard their self interest are now leaving the party and returning to their previous parties. It was formed by Mr. Oli to hold a safe position in the upcoming anti-corruption mission which was envisioned by him very well.
