Silver Creek High School is a school located in Longmont, Colorado. Silver Creek's mascot is the raptor. The school is part of the [http://www.stvrain.k12.co.us/district/ Saint Vrain Valley School District] . Silver Creek also is the host building for Universal High School. Silver Creek is one of the newest high schools in the Longmont area.

Classes

A wide range of classes are offered at Silver Creek. Standard "Core Classes" such as Math, English, Science, and Social Studies are taught at the school, as well as a small range of electives. Students can study many topics including cooking, music, art, literature, philosophy, and several other subjects. Silver Creek offers only French and Spanish as foreign languages, but may offer Mandarin Chinese as an online class during the 2007-2008 school year. If students want to take other languages they may take them at other schools and get credit for those classes at Silver Creek.

Extracurricular activities

Silver Creek offers a very wide range of extracurricular activities including orchestra ,band, choir, newspaper, and a wide range of sports.On May 10th, 2008, the Silver Creek/Niwot Swim and Dive team won the conference championship, ending Thompson Valley's 7 year reign.

The official colors of Silver Creek are maroon and silver. The mascot is a raptor, which is often depicted as an owl.
