binomial_authority = Baird, 1855The Cliff Chipmunk ("Tamias dorsalis") is a small, bushy-tail ed animal that lives among the lower and upper cliff dwellings, particularly in theWestern United States . Cliff Chipmunks are very agile, and can often be seen scaling steep cliff walls. They live in deep crevices above the cliff dwellings. Cliff Chimpmunks do not amassbody fat as the more commonground squirrel does. They create a "stash" of food which they frequent during the cold winter months.
