The team produced a number of fine youngsters Including Bob Bacon and David Bower who later went on to sign for the Middlestown Miners who reached the FA Cup 2nd qualifying round in 2001 only to be beaten 12-11 on penalties to Savile Town FC.Barugh Green is also home to the famous
Daniel Wilby , author of the Moonhead Chronicles.Barugh Green is also known for the large number of minicab firms that run through the village, but with the twist that every cab has not 5, but 7 seats.
