Each program is one hour, focuses on a single issue, and consists of four segments: a special report that brings listeners up to date on the status of the issue today with international and domestic perspectives; an in-depth history segment that draws on archival audio to provide context for current events; an eyewitness segment that features first-person reflections from decision-makers closely involved with a crisis or issue related to the theme; and a report from abroad that provides listeners with non-US perspectives and insights on the issue at hand

History
