Cape Verdean Creole , written inALUPEC : "Txada Grandi"), is a village located northeast of the island capital of Sao Filipe in the island of Fogo,Cape Verde . Its population is approximately 500. The settlement is linked with the road encircling the island and also links with the road linking southwest towardsChã das Caldeiras . The area around Achada Furna contains farmlands around the area as well as grasslands and rocks and a mountain slope around the area. The living standards are in the low range as well as its income, one time, there were no money until the late-20th century. The village is near the island's middle class. Much of the population are farmers and are based in agriculture where banana plantations, pineapple and other crops are common. However, much of the needy materials comes from the island capital, nearby Cova Figueira and the diaspora. But for other needs, electricity, communications and appliances are partially available in the area as well as phone lines. A part of the necessities comes from the island capital.
