He is also the son of Ali Parvin, a legendary Iranian football player. He wears the number 7 shirt sported by his father in his playing days.

Club career
He played for Persepolis underi his father for the youth teams and joined the first team in 2005-06 season and stayed in Persepolis for 2 seasons.He moved to Steel Azin where his father owned the club and became the top scorer in the firsst division but decided to move to a better club. Despite having offer from Persepolis he moved to Saipa where many believe he rejected the offer from Persepolis because of the differences between his father and Dariush Mostafavi the chairman of Persepolis at the time.[citation needed] He spent 6 month loan in Dunajská Streda and returned to Iran and signed for Persepolis in July 2009. He had a very difficult season where the coaches did not have trust to use him and he was mostly benched or injured during the season.
