João Paulo Maio dos Santos (born November 21, 1970 in Vila do Conde), best known as Paulinho Santos, is a retired Portuguese footballer who played as a tenacious defensive midfielder. During his career he played for Rio Ave FC and FC Porto.

For Portugal, Santos got 30 international caps from 1994 to 2000, scoring 2 goals and participating at Euro 1996.
