woreda s in theSouthern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples' Region ofEthiopia . Part of theKeficho Shekicho Zone , Yeki is bordered on the south by theBench Maji Zone , on the west by theGambela Region , on the north byMasha Anderacha , on the northeast byGesha , and on the east by Chena. The major town in Yeki is Tippi.The highest point in Yeki is
Mount Teppi (2728 meters), a dormant volcano.Based on figures published by the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, this woreda has an estimated total population of 124,998, of whom 60,801 were males and 64,197 were females; 19,231 or 15.39% of its population are urban dwellers, which is greater than the Zone average of 9.7%. With an estimated area of 603.91 square kilometers, Yeki has an estimated population density of 207 people per square kilometer, which is greater than the Zone average of 81.9.
