Battaramulla

Battarmulla is a suburb, it is situated 5.2 miles from Colombo City Centre. Battaramulla, Pelawatte and Koswatte considered presently as Battaramulla. Thalawathugoda, Sri Jayawardenapura-Kotte and Malabe cities are marking the Battaramulla borders.

Battaramulla was previously governed by a separate municipal structure, which was dissolved. The larger portion of Battaramulla (koswatte and beyond) was attached to the Kaduwela Pradeshya Sabha.

This is one of the fast developing commercial and residential areas in Colombo district.

A notable expatriate population lives in Battaramula. The area is also home to numerous Ministries, Government departments and boards.

The Waters Edge country club is an 11-hole golf course located at Battaramulla. Its infrastructure includes: Restaurant/dining room/ballroom/conference hall, Driving range with 20 bays - 300 metres in length and floodlit for practice at night. Chip and putt area with bunkers, Swimming pool, Spa, Gym, Games arcade, Beauty salon and a Karaoke lounge.
