- Slinfah
Slinfah ( _ar. صلنفة, ArTranslit|Ṣlenfah) is a
Syria nvillage , founded in 1929, administratively belonging to thegovernorate of Latakia. It is situated in the mountains called "Jebal Al Nusayriyah" and is 1100 meters above sea level. Slinfah is 50 kilometers east of the capital city, Latakia. Its moderate weather in summer attracts thousands of visitors and tourists but as temperatures drop down in winter and Slinfah gets very cold, so does the population. Slinfah can be reached from the north passing through the village ofQardaha and through the 'Latakia road'. It has two peaks, the peak of the prophet Yunis, which is 1300 meters above sea level, and theShooh mountains , which are covered by 500 hectares of shooh trees. Slinfah is located near the historicalCitadel of Salah Ed-Din .References
