"Last Request" is a song by Scottish singer/songwriterPaolo Nutini , and his first single from his debut album "These Streets". The song was released onJuly 3 ,2006 , and peaked at #5 on theUK Singles Chart . The song's lyrics describe a person who knows his relationship is over, but wants to have one last time with them.It has been featured in an episode of "Scrubs" and "One Tree Hill".
Music Video
The music video shows Nutini lying down on a stone floor peppered with glass, singing the song. There are several scenes during the song showing people attempting to rob a jewelry store and harassing the staff, their faces covered in balaclavas. Later in the song police enter the jewelry Store and shoot one of the men, and when pulling off the balaclava they reveal it as Nutini. Nutini stares at the woman he was harassing on the ground, who is crying. There are scenes of him being put into a police car, and yet the video ends with him lying dead on the marble floor.
