PGMS Inc. is a consulting, technology services, and SmartSourcing company. Originally named "Physician Group Management Services", PGMS got its start by providing business solutions to growing medical practices. Since its inception in 1991, the company has significantly expanded its operations to offer a broad array of strategic and technological services to conscience-driven organizations across the globe.

History

Understanding the problems that have consistently plagued the healthcare industry, PGMS was formed in an effort to develop innovative new solutions for the modern physician. The answers that the company found came in the form of strategy and technology. By helping healthcare experts keep their practices up to date, PGMS aimed to help healthcare operations overcome former obstacles.

Founded on the principles of "Helping Physicians Work Smarter, Not Harder", PGMS started out by providing services directly to individual healthcare workers. Years of first-hand experience working with physicians illustrated that change in the healthcare industry must occur from the bottom up. PGMS continues to place and empower physicians in the center of healthcare in the firm belief that any vision for change within this industry that does not include them is bound to fail.

Keeping true to this belief, in the late 90’s PGMS began expanding its operations into other areas of the healthcare market. In doing so, the company was able to offer large organizations valuable information about physician practices. Immediately, it became clear that assisting other healthcare organizations in understanding physician needs was a highly effective way of improving patient care.

Helping businesses understand the ins and outs of the healthcare industry became a new goal for PGMS and, in 2003, this initiative took the company to outside markets. Recognizing the potentially diverse applications of the skills and knowledge that PGMS employees had acquired over the years, the company began actively seeking and engaging in projects with organizations outside of the field of healthcare market.

Practice Charts

Practice Charts is a customizable, web-based electronic medical record designed by PGMS. The interface is based on medical forms and processes. The web-based system allows users to access forms from any location with Internet access. Embedded electronic forms allow patient records to be located and viewed. A consolidated database eliminates duplicate data entry.
