Dainippon Ink and Chemicals, Incorporated (大日本インキ化学工業 Dainippon Inki Kagaku Kōgyō ) (TYO: 4631) (now known as DIC Corporation) is a company headquartered in Nihonbashi, Chūō in Japan that manufactures inks, lacquers, pigments, industrial tapes, resins, fluorochemical products, and degassing materials. The company was founded on February 15, 1908.[1]
The company is publicly traded, has over 25,000 employees and sales exceeding $8.5 billion US per year.[1] The company operates worldwide and includes the Sun Chemical corporation.
On February 15, 2008 the company was 100 years old and officially changed its name to DIC Corporation.
