The Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies, located in Jerusalem, is an important academic and spiritual center of Conservative Judaism. It serves as one of the movement's main rabbinical seminaries alongside The Jewish Theological Seminary of America in New York City, the University of Judaism in Los Angeles, and the Seminario Rabínico Latinoamericano in Buenos Aires.

Founded in 1984, the Schechter Institute is located next to the Israel Museum, the Knesset, and the Israeli Supreme Court. While starting with only four students, today it has a current enrollment of over 450. The institute's graduate school offers advanced degrees in Jewish Studies. It also houses a rabbinical seminary that has, to date, ordained 65 rabbis. The facility also houses the TALI Educational Fund, which provides Jewish Studies programs for public school and preschool children throughout Israel.
