woreda s in theAmhara Region ofEthiopia . Part of theWag Hemra Zone , Zikuala is bordered on the south byDehana , on the west and north by theDebub Gondar Zone , and on the east by theTekezé River which separates it from Soqota. Other rivers include the Balagas.The major town in Zikuala is
Siyalewa .Based on figures published by the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, this woreda has an estimated total population of 66,049, of whom 32,071 were males and 33,978 were females; 197 or 0.30% of its population are urban dwellers, which is less than the Zone average of 5.4%. With an estimated area of 3,223.60 square kilometers, Zikuala has an estimated population density of 20.5 people per square kilometer, which is less than the Zone average of 45.1.
