Hannu Patronen (born 23 May 1984) is a Finnish footballer who is best known as a central defender despite his history as a defensive midfielder. He made 47 caps for his Finnish club side FC Honka before agreeing on a move to Swedish Premier Division outfit Helsingborgs IF on July 12, 2008. Patronen signed a 3,5 years long contract with the Swedes.

During his spell at the Espoo based club, Patronen became something of a favourite among supporters of FC Honka.

Patronen made his debut with Helsingborgs IF on July 15, 2008 at home against AIK and played for 90 minutes. HIF won the game 2 - 1.
