Noble Leslie Devotie

Noble Leslie Devotie (January 24, 1838February 12, 1861) was the main contributing founder of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was also the first Alabama soldier to die in the American Civil War when he misstepped while boarding a ship, got his clothes wet and died from pneumonia.
