Scott M. Rodell is a

Rodell began studying martial arts at the age of nine. He practiced
karate ,judo , tournament and instinctarchery ,wrestling ,Olympic fencing , andmarksmanship before devoting his training exclusively to Yang style taijiquan in1981 . [Zhang, Xinhua, "Follower of the Dao of Taiji." (trans.) Wu Jian Shen, Sept. 1992, pg. 9.]Rodell studied
taijiquan with two senior students ofCheng Man-ch'ing [Douwes, Joppe. "A Weapon's Weekend with Scott Rodell." (trans.), Taiji-Vizier, 2005-4, pg. 6.] (questions have been raised regarding the lineage claims of Cheng Man-ch'ing), William C.C. Chen and T.T. Liang, before finding his principle teacher,Wang Yen-nien . From Wang, Rodell learned the entireYangjia Michuan Taijiquan (“Yang Family Hidden Teaching”) system. [Douwes, Joppe. 1984 , Rodell founded and became director ofGreat River Taoist Center , a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve and transmit the Yang family arts.In
