Carus Publishing Company

The Carus Publishing Company is a publisher with offices in Chicago, Peru, Illinois, and Peterborough, New Hampshire. It owns the Open Court Publishing Company as well as the Cricket Magazine Group, and Cobblestone Publishing. Open Court is known for their "Popular Culture and Philosophy" books, while Cricket and Cobblestone produce a range of children's magazines.

Carus's other magazines for children and teens include "Babybug, Ladybug, Click, Appleseeds, Ask, Spider, Dig, Cricket, Cobblestone, Muse, Faces, Calliope, Odyssey," and "Cicada."
