Opened by the
Festiniog and Blaenau Railway , a line bought out by theGreat Western Railway , it remained in that company through the Grouping of 1923. The station then passed on toBritish Railways onnationalisation in 1948. It was then closed by theBritish Transport Commission .The site today
The site was taken over by the adjacent quarry after closure and the platforms and station buildings survived in a derelict state until the early 1980s. Although no trace of the platforms and buildings now remain, the site can be identified by pillars still in-situ, which were used for supporting conveyor belts running from the quarry to the station.
