BBC and independent UK production houses. It is not related to the previous channel known asBBC Knowledge , an early digital channel which closed down in 2002.The channel provides five key programming strands enabling simple appointment viewing:

BBC Knowledge launched inIndonesia onIndovision in April 2008, and inAfrica onDStv in September 2008. It will launch inAustralia onFOXTEL on November 1, 2008.BBC Knowledge is wholly-owned by
