Iced Vo Vo

An Iced Vo Vo is a wheat flour biscuit topped with a strip of pink fondant either side of a strip of strawberry jam and sprinkled with coconut.cite web |url=http://www.arnotts.com.au/products/IcedVoVo.aspx |title= Iced Vo Vo|accessdate=2007-12-04|publisher=Arnott's] It is a product of the American-owned Australian based biscuit company Arnott's. The brand was first registered in 1906.

The ingredients of the biscuits are described on the packet as follows: "Wheat flour, sugar, raspberry flavoured filling [sugar, apple, glucose syrup, raspberry, food acid(E330, E331), gelling agent (E440), colour(E29), flavouring] , desiccated coconut, vegetable oil, milk solids, salt, humectant (E422), gelatine, raising agent (E500), flavouring, colour (E129), emulsifiers (E322, soy)."

The Australian Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, made a light hearted mention of Iced Vo Vo's in his election victory speech of 24 November 2007, jokingly urging his team to have a strong cup of tea with an Iced Vo Vo on the way through, before getting to work. This reportedly led to skyrocketing Iced VoVo sales, prompting Arnott's to send a shipping palette of the biscuits to the Prime Minister's office in Canberra's New Parliament House.
