William P. "Bill" Kennedy is the former editor-in-chief of A+ Publishing, including MacComputing, A+ and PC Games magazines. Kennedy was an early participant in one of the founding companies pre-cursor to both iRobot and to ActivMedia Robotics, along with Grinnell More, inventor of the PackBot robot. Kennedy went on to become CTO at MobileRobots Inc. where he led development efforts for the Pioneer series, the reference platform for research robots.
Kennedy is probably best known as co-author of "HTML: the Definitive Guide" and "HTML/XML: the Definitive Guide" by O'Reilly Media, a book originally eschewed by publisher Tim O'ReillyFact|date=July 2008, but later revered as it became one of O'Reilly's best- and longest-selling publicationsFact|date=July 2008.
