HMS "Cardinham" was one of 93 ships of the sclass|Ham|minesweeper|0 of inshore minesweepers. Her name is commonly mis-spelled as Cardingham, as per the heading on this page, but she was named after the village of Cardinham in Cornwall. Her cap tally and lifebelts displayed the name Cardinham.

Their names were all chosen from villages ending in "-ham". The minesweeper was named after Cardinham.
