- Keilaniemi
Keilaniemi ( _sv. Kägeludden) is a district in the south-eastern part of
Espoo ,Finland . Keilaniemi is bordered by theuniversity district ofOtaniemi to the north, the commercial/residential district ofTapiola to the west, the Keilalahtibay separating Espoo andHelsinki to the east, and theGulf of Finland to the south. The distance from Keilaniemi to the centre of Helsinki along theLänsiväylä highway is about 8 km.Nowadays, Keilaniemi is mostly known for the numerous head offices of large
corporation s located there. The district includes the head offices ofNokia ,Kone ,Fortum ,Neste Oil , and many smaller corporations. The large head office buildings are the most famous landmarks of the district. Keilaniemi rose to the position of a corporate concentration in1976 , when theFortum head office was built there. The 18-story building is still among the tallest office buildings in the entire country of Finland.See also
