Michael Marriott

Richard Michael Harris Marriott was head of the London stock exchange in 1975 and in the same year was Master of the Skinners Company and President of the FESE. He was the youngest master of the company for some time but also was one of the few to die whilst in office. He died of a heart attack in 1975 aged 49. He was an Old Tonbridgian (went to Tonbridge School), and his youngest son is the actor Tim Marriott of Brittas Empire Fame. He is also a descendent of George Harris, 4th Baron Harris down the female line it is from this family that he takes his middle name of Harris.
