Serbia held the first round of its 2004 elections forPresident of Serbia on Sunday,13 June 2004 , and the second round on Sunday,27 June 2004 .Boris Tadić , the pro-western Democratic Party's candidate, was the eventual victor. The Democratic Party formed part of theDemocratic Opposition of Serbia during the 2000 elections, and played a key role in ousting former PresidentSlobodan Milošević .Candidates

In the second round, the democratic candidate Boris Tadić gained the support of every government party as well as of Bogoljub Karić.
