Philip Bushill-Matthews (born on
15 January 1943 inDroitwich )is a British politician andMember of the European Parliament for the West Midlands with the Conservative Party, part of theEuropean Democrats and sits on theEuropean Parliament 'sCommittee on Employment and Social Affairs .He is a substitute for the
Committee on Foreign Affairs and also a member of the Delegation for relations withIran .He was first elected to the
European Parliament in 1999, before being elected he was the managing director of severalfood manufacturing businesses and is a Fellow of theInstitute of Directors .In 2008 he didn't submit his name for re-selection as Conservative candidate at 2009 European Elections and will stand stand as MEP the following year.
On
