Lucy Sussex (born in
New Zealand in1957 ) is a fantasy and science fiction author. Her first story to gain notice might be1985 's "The Lipton Village Society", which involved the creation of an alternate world. In1989 she won theDitmar Award for "My Lady Tongue" about a lesbian feminist community, and her short story "Mist and Murder" won a 2008Sir Julius Vogel Award . Her first novel came out in1995 . She is often associated withfeminist science fiction .She currently lives in Melbourne, Australia.
