1996 Summer Olympics held inAtlanta ,United States in the 4 x 100 metre relay where he won the bronze medal with his team matesArnaldo da Silva ,Robson da Silva andEdson Ribeiro .In the
2000 Summer Olympics held inSydney ,Australia he was again part of the Brazilian 4 x 100 metre team with Edson Ribeiro and newcomersVicente de Lima andClaudinei da Silva and this time the team won the silver medal.His personal best times are 10.06 seconds over 100 m and 20.15 seconds over 200 m.
