Haakon Lorentzen (born Oslo, 23 August 1954) is the son of Princess Ragnhild of Norway and Erling Sven Lorentzen. Princess Ragnhild was the older sister of King Harald V and Princess Astrid of Norway.

He was the oldest grandchild of King Olav V of Norway, and was born when his great-grandfather, King Haakon VII of Norway was still alive.

He has served in the military in Norway, and during the 1980s he lived in Norway for a period.

In Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, on 14 April 1982, Haakon Lorentzen married Martha Carvalho de Freitas (born in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, 5 April 1958).[1]

He is a successful businessmen in Brazil, director of the Grupo Lorentzen, accionists of Aracruz Celulose.

His children are:

  • Olav Alexander Lorentzen (b. Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, 11 July 1985)
  • Christian Frederik Lorentzen (b. Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, 23 May 1988)
  • Sophia Anne Lorentzen (b. Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, 28 June 1994)

While his mother and his children are in the line of succession for the British throne, Haakon is ineligible due to his marriage to a Roman Catholic.
