Arthur Probert

Arthur Probert

Arthur Reginald Probert (30 September 1907 – 14 February 1975) was a British politician. He served as a Labour Member of Parliament (MP) from 1954 to 1974.

He was first elected as an MP to the Commons for the Welsh constituency of Aberdare on 28 October 1954, in a by-election following the death of Labour MP David Thomas. Probert held the seat until he retired at the February 1974 general election. He died in 1975 aged 67.
