Joel Lindpere (born October 5, 1981 in Tallinn) is an Estonian professional footballer, who plays in Norwegian Tippeligaen, for Tromsø IL. He plays the position of midfielder and is also a member of the Estonia national football team.

Career

Club career

Lindpere made his first-team debut for JK Nõmme Kalju at the age of 15 in 1997. A year later he joined to Lelle SK. After two seasons he moved to FC Flora Tallinn, Estonia's biggest club, in 2000. A year later Lindpere joined to FC Valga, played there only 11 times. After two seasons in Valga he moved back to FC Flora Tallinn.

At the age of 22, Lindpere moved abroad to play for CSKA Sofia in Bulgaria, but after two seasons he moved back to FC Flora Tallinn.

In February 2007, he signed a 3-year contract with Norwegian Tippeligaen club Tromsø IL.His first goal for Tromsø IL came against Molde in a training match only a few days after he hat signed his contract.

International career

For Estonia national football team, Lindpere is capped 62 times, scoring 5 goals. He debuted internationally in 1999.
