The Evening Post (New Zealand)

"The Evening Post" is a now defunct daily newspaper based in Wellington, New Zealand. It was founded in 1865 by Henry Blundell [ [http://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/cgi-bin/paperspast?a=d&cl=CL1.EP&essay=1&l=en National Library article] ] , an Irish immigrant to New Zealand. It continued under Blundell family control until the 1960s.

In 2002 it merged with "The Dominion", the other Wellington daily, to form the "Dominion Post".
