Muhammad Hussein Yacoub (Arabic: محمد حسين يعقوب‎) Yacoub is a Salafi islamic scholar in Egypt, who has given hundreds of lectures in Da’wah. A number of his books are currently being published. He gained significant notoriety after successive spouts of anti-Semitism and hatred against non-Muslims.

Birth and family

He was born in 1956 in the Matimdiyah area of Imbaba, in the Al Jizah Governorate in Egypt. His father was one of the founders of The Matimdiyah Islamic Association for Muslims to Unite Efforts to Act according to the Qur’an and the Prophet Muhammad’s Sunnah. He continued to give the Friday Khutbah (sermon) in the different the governorates of Egypt for fifty years and gave a regular class in Fiqh.

Sheikh Yaqcoub is the oldest of four brothers and has one older sister. He obtained a Teaching Diploma in 1967 and married before he was twenty years of age.

Seeking Islamic knowledge

Sheikh Yaqcoub memorized the whole Qur’an at an early age in the local Kutaab .He participated in the entering the data of the Prophet’s Hadith onto computers which increased greatly his religious knowledge. It also helped him cement his knowledge of the Hadith.

He then traveled to Saudi Arabia from 1980 to 1985.

Call of Genocide of Jews

In a speech delivered by Yaqoub, which aired on Al-Rahma TV on January 17, 2009, he stated (as translated by MEMRI) that:

"We must believe that our fighting with the Jews is eternal, and it will not end until the final battle...You must believe that we will fight, defeat, and annihilate them, until not a single Jew remains on the face of the Earth...As for you Jews - the curse of Allah upon you. The curse of Allah upon you, whose ancestors were apes and pigs. You Jews have sown hatred in our hearts, and we have bequeathed it to our children and grandchildren. You will not survive as long as a single one of us remains...Oh Jews, may the curse of Allah be upon you. Oh Jews... Oh Allah, bring Your wrath, punishment, and torment down upon them. Allah, we pray that you transform them again, and make the Muslims rejoice again in seeing them as apes and pigs. You pigs of the earth! You pigs of the earth! You kill the Muslims with that cold pig [blood] of yours."^[1][2][3][4]

1)Sheikh Yaqcoub gained an Islamic Ijazah in the Six Books of the Sunnah from Sheikh Hassan Abu Al-Ashbal Al-Zuhayri.

2)Also in the Six Books of the Sunnah, from Sheikh Muhammad Abu Khubzah Al-Tattwani

3)A third certificate in the Qur’an and the Six Books of Sunnah from Sheikh Abu Khalid Al-Wakil Al-Makki.
