Ifra, founded in 1961 as the INCA(International Newspaper Colour Association) when European publishers began to introduce the use of colour in newspapers, is the world's leading association for newspaper and media publishing. Based in
Darmstadt , Hessen, Germany, more than 3000 publishing companies and suppliers to the publishing industry are currently members of the Ifra. It changed its name in 1970 to Ifra(INCA-FIEJ Research Association; whereby "INCA" stands for "International Newspaper Colour Association" and "FIEJ" stands for "Fédération Internationale des Editeurs de Journaux"). Today the name "Ifra" stands by itself.See also
