- Treasurer of the Chamber
The Treasurer of the Chamber was a position in the British royal household, separated in 1485 from that of the
Master of the Jewel Office and in the department of theLord Steward . It was an important office of finance under Henry VII and Henry VIII, before the revival of the Exchequer. The office was abolished in 1782.Treasurers of the Chamber
