Burim Myftiu

Burim Myftiu is an American-Albanian Fine Art Photographer from Kosovo who is associated with several photography, film and fine art organizations.

Career

Burim Myftiu specialized in Commercial Photography in New York Institute of Photography - NYIP, New York. He is the founder of PACK (Photo Arts Collective of Kosovo). Myftiu is also the organizer and director of the [DOKUFEST] [ [http://www.dokufest.com Dokufest | 7th Edition | 4-10 August 2008 ] ] International Documentary and Short Film Festival, and the curator of the International photography exhibition "Gjon Mili Prize" [ [http://www.gak-gjonmili.org index ] ] at the National Art Gallery in Priština, Kosovo. Mr. Myftiu has participated in juries of Film Festivals and juried in photography contests. Additionally, he is the founder of Kosova Images Photography Agency [http://www.kosovaimages.com "Kosova Images"] , and has served as a regional liaison officer of the Federation International de l'Art photographique (FIAP) [http://www.fiap.net/indiv_desc.php?lang=en&id=2007 "FIAP"] .

Photography

The work of Burim Myftiu is presented in several individual photography exhibitions in the United States and Kosovo. More recently, he has worked as a commercial and documentary photographer, and is a photography editor in Express Daily Newspaper. He also teaches photography classes and workshops.

Burim Myftiu resides and works (UBT - University of Business and Technology) in Priština and Connecticut, USA.
