Virgilio Noè

Virgilio Noè (born 30 March 1922) is an Italian Roman Catholic Cardinal.

Born in Zelata di Bereguardo, Lombardy, he was ordained on 1 October 1944.

He served as Undersecretary of Sacred Congregation for Divine Worship between 1969 and 1975. In 1970 he was appointed the first Master of Pontifical Liturgical Celebrations by Pope Paul VI. He was appointed Undersecretary for Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments in 1975 holding this post for two years. On 30 January 1982 he was appointed Secretary of Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments and that same day was appointed Titular Archbishop of Voncaria. He held his position at the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments until 1989. infobox cardinalstyles
