September 25 ,1981 in southFlorida . He attended theUniversity of Florida , where he graduated with aBachelor of Arts inMathematics and aBachelor of Science inComputer Science in 2004.From January, 2002 to
December 15 ,2003 , while still in college, Love was a kernel hacker atMontaVista Software . At MontaVista, he worked on procps and several kernel-related projects, including one of his most notable, the preemptive kernel.Love began work at
Novell on December 15, 2003, where he first served as an engineer in the Linux desktop group. Linux kernel . Both editions are widely regarded as approachable and well written and have been translated into multiple languages. Both editions are published byimprint s ofPearson Education .Love's latest book is "Linux System Programming", subtitled "Talking Directly to the Kernel and C Library" and published by
O'Reilly Media . This work documents Linux'ssystem call and C library API.He is also a coauthor of the fifth edition of "Linux in a Nutshell", a comprehensive Linux command reference. The book is also published by O'Reilly Media.
