Those objectives are actively implemented through various media, programs, events, and social interactions with the campus community and other educational institutions. Additionally, Troy Philippines hopes to add to the total collegiate experience at USC by encouraging academic achievement, athletic competition, community service, and the free exchange of ideas with people of various cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Since 2002, USC Troy Philippines, in collaboration with Filipino organizations from other universities, played an integral part in the planning of SIPA’s Annual Halloween event – which provided a safe and festive
Halloween environment for more than 200 Historic Filipinotown youth.USC Troy Philippines has also been successful in coordinating
Filipino-American History Month programs on campus, annual Entertainment Nights to help support local artists, the reintroduction of Barrio Fiesta in the Fall of2005 featuringJasmine Trias , the "Rex Education" comedy show featuringRex Navarette in Spring 2006 to raise money for USC's Pinoy Scholarship Fund, Pilipino American Culture Nights which drew in hundreds of audience members, and the 6th annual Pinoy Graduation in May 2008.History
Since 1910, there has been a Filipino American student organization 1910 at the University of Southern California. Previously known as Pilipino Trojan Family, this Trojan organization eventually changed its name and became known as Troy Family in the 1960s. In the 1970s, this association eventually became a member of the school's International Student Assembly under its present name Troy Philippines. It was later recognized as an Asian American organization, and became a part of the University of Southern California's Asian American Student Assembly in 1989.

During the late 1980s, the club started its' tradition of holding cultural nights, starting in 1988 with The First Wave, which was based upon the experiences of Filipino farm laborers in Delano, CA. The club also helped found the Southern California Pilipino American Student Association (SCPASA) [http://www.angelfire.com/ca/scpasa/] .
As for Troy Phi's recent history, the club has progressed over the past years. Membership has increased, the club's Pilipino-American Culture Nights have been phenomenal, there is an increased participation in community involvement, and had been able to win two Friendship Games titles, 1st and 2nd place.
