"Too Young To Be A Dad" is a made-for-television movie that aired in May 2002 on Lifetime.
Plot summary
The film deals with the story of 15-year-old honor student Matt Freeman. Matt offers to tutor fellow classmate Francesca Howell after she fails a math test. The two develop a relationship and eventually have sex. They soon discover that Francesca is pregnant.
The film follows Matt's attempts to take responsibility for the pregnancy, through transferring to an alternative school with Francesca, and getting a part time job to help pay for the medical cost. Matt also struggles with giving up the child for adoption, as Dr. Howell is set on doing. In the end, he ends up bringing up his daughter, whom he names Genevieve.
The viewers are left wondering whether Francesca takes a part in the upbringing of the child.
