Walter Kidde

Walter Kidde

Walter Kidde (March 7 1877 – February 9, 1943) (pronEng|ˈkɪdə) was the court appointed trustee of the bankrupt New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway from July 24, 1937 until his death in 1943. He was succeeded by Henery K. Norton as trustee, and later president of the railroad.

Born in Hoboken, New Jersey, Kidde was an active member of the business world, but at the time of his appointment as trustee he had no previous railroad experience.
