History
*1840: The first
train services the station on the line Munich-Lochhausen .
*29 November 1848 : The station-building is opened.
*21 May 1854 : Opening of the line toStarnberg .
*1900/1901: ACargo terminal is constructed east of the station.
*1 October 1938 : After the uniting of thesuburb Pasing withMunich the station is renamed to München-Pasing.

Most interregional trains travelling on the route Munich-
Augsburg -Ulm /Nuremberg call here, as well as fourEurocity services toZurich viaLindau stop here. This route has the most railroad traffic in Germany.Only a few trains take the route via Südring ("south ring") to
München Ost railway station , without calling atMünchen Hauptbahnhof . An example is theOrient-Express travelling fromStrasbourg toVienna .S-Bahn

Future extension plans
An extension from Pasing Marienplatz to Pasing railway station for the tram line 19 is planned. Moreover, an extension of the
Munich U-Bahn line U5 from Laimer Platz to Pasing railway station is considered.
