Anomalous Disturbances is the musical pseudonym of Canadian Terrence (Terry) O'Brien. Based in
Vancouver ,British Columbia , O'Brien is a guitarist, composer and producer who is active in the genres ofambient music andelectronica . He utilizes the technique of "live looping" his guitar via an updated digital version of the "time lag accumulator" system originated byminimalist composerTerry Riley and employed byRobert Fripp andBrian Eno and others. The result is dronelike yet melodic. The music of Anomalous Disturbances has been released on solo CDs, and also in other formats (compilation CDs, television). O'Brien is also active in live performance, primarily in his native Canada.Discography
